Exactly one year today ago we moved to Montmartre. I knew very little about the neighborhood before we came here. Artists, tourists, Sacré Cœur... I’ll be honest with you, I wasn’t even sure I really liked it. But now, one year on, I’ve gotta admit that I love this place. It’s amazingly easy to avoid the tourists, there are some excellent restaurants and cafes, and the locals are really lovely. Don’t even get me started on Rue des Abbesses, my fave street in Paris. But what I truly love about my home in Montmartre is having the luxury of this view everyday. No, I’m not talking about lovely Lina, I’m talking about all of Paris and the Eiffel Tower.
You know, how I managed to find this apartment and the unbelievable “drinks for life” deal that came with it are two great stories. And I’d love to share them now but they’re in my upcoming book and you should read them there. Six days until the Kickstarter launch.... #Paris #montmartre #parisviews #travelpodcast #parisexpats Well it’s official. I’ve written a book. It’s my story of Paris, a memoir. It’s about the outrageous struggles and fortunes of life in Paris as a young man. I’d go as far as saying it’s laugh-out-loud funny.
And lucky me - my wife @parisianpostcards has made the cover already!

In one week I’m going to launch a Kickstarter in the hopes of pre-selling 300 copies. If I can do that, I’ll be able to self-publish the paperback, ebook, and turn it into an audio experience for podcast fans.
I’ll be having a Paris party on Wednesday next week to mark the launch - send me a DM if you want to come along - otherwise you can watch the live stream where I’ll read the first few pages :) I put every ounce of my effort into this project and I truly hope you guys will jump on board and help turn it into a real book!! One week. The countdown begins. Let’s do this!
#parisbook #parismemoir #theearfultower One of the best times to visit Montmartre: midnight on Sunday. No people, no traffic, just eerie and beautiful shadows.
