Guide to the 1st arrondissement: The heart of Paris

August 2, 2022December 13, 2022 Oliver Gee

Here we are: The very middle of Paris, where it’s all happening, the belly of the beast. Here’s what we recommend in the first arrondissement.

What is The Earful Tower?

The Earful Tower is a channel about Paris and France, hosted by Oliver Gee.

The podcast has had nearly 3 million downloads. The New York Times calls The Earful Tower one of the world’s “most transportive” podcasts, while National Geographic calls it an “elucidating romp through the city”.

We share Paris via walking tours, videos, blog posts, and social media accounts. We even make Paris-themed children’s books.

Welcome to The Earful Tower’s official website.

Notre Dame update: it looks like they’ve added a new spire. It looked magnificent during tonight’s sunset. In the last picture, when the sun was down, you can see through the scaffolding to the spire itself. Estimated open date: December 2024. Lovely festive scenes in Paris. But where am I standing??? (The answer: place du tertre in montmartre) Sacré cœur in red tonight Here’s what lunch at La Tour d’Argent looks like. Duck number 1,179,385! Bucket list item ticked off, dining at the Tour d’Argent in Paris. Some video from my time in the Sainte-Chapelle. With this music, you can almost feel you’re in there too :)
