“The sewer is the conscience of Paris”. That’s what Victor Hugo said, and he should know. I went and checked out the Paris sewer museum, here’s what it looks like. Antiques roadshow. I got the six canes from the trash valued. Here are the results - from cheapest to most expensive :) Cane reveal! Here’s the “unboxing” video of the six canes we found in the trash. Part two coming soon. Who’d have thought!!!??? A listener sent me this picture last week - six antique canes in a paris trash can. I got excited and made a dash for them. This photo sparked a mad cross-city white-knuckle treasure hunt that plays out on today’s podcast episode of The Earful Tower. And just like that, we’ve left the seventh arrondissement. Gone are the days of wide avenues, expensive mangoes, strolls on rue Cler, and a little hatch that opened up onto our rooftop with a spectacular view of all of Paris. I’ll miss it all. Farewell rue Cler. After two years of walking this street every single day, we’re starting a new Paris adventure in another part of town.
