French Antiques: From Provence to the world

Susannah and Hugh Cameron are antique curators, originally from Australia, now based in the sunny fields of Provence. Their initial interest of street brocantes and finding the perfect French decor for their home soon turned into a passionate search for the most exquisite French antiques and the creation of their online boutique, Chez Pluie.

The pair joined us on the podcast from a hotel room in the Latin Quarter of Paris to discuss antiques, Provence, and how to improve your own home.

A far cry from Paris!

Their favourite finds

Below you’ll find some of their favourite pieces they’ve found that were mentioned in the podcast. Included are a few Louis XVI period treasures like the marble console, the secretary desk and the Louis XVI-style bench seat.

And here are Hugh’s antique wine labels that he wishes he had kept, Susannah’s favourite piece (the salvaged carousel horse) and then the 19th century amorous couple.

Where to find Hugh and Susannah?

You can discover their entire French antique collection on their website and keep up to date with them on their Instagram @chezpluie.

That’s all for now!
