The Earful Tower book club

Do you like books about Paris and France? Do you want to get to know the books a little better? Do you want to be in a club?

If you answered yes to these questions then you should join The Earful Tower Book Club.

The idea: Each month I pick a book, which we all read, then discuss in a set of live Facebook videos in a private group.

Then, if the author is alive and available, I’ll try to do a live video with them at the end of the month so they can answer all our questions about the book. If the author is not around, I’ll find a suitable replacement idea to mark the end of the book.

So as regular listeners know already, the first book was A Year in Provence by Peter Mayle. You may have heard the podcast episode about it all, where I visited the village where it was set.

Since then we’ve done Suite Francaise by Irene Nemirovsky, The Elegance of the Hedgehog, The Sun Also Rises, L’Appart by David Lebovitz and A Year in Paris by John Baxter (both authors joined me for live videos at the end of the month). And we’ve done a lot more since then!

Want to be a part of it? If you’re a Facebook user, join the group here. I recommend you join Patreon for a small monthly fee of $5, but if you just want to sample the idea then be my guest and sign up for a free trial.

Lastly, do I have what it takes to lead a book club and interview an author? By my count, I’ve had at least ten different authors on the podcast talking about their  books. We should be fine. Listen to some of them here.

But first: Join the Earful’s Book Club.
