How to be Parisian with Caroline de Maigret

Hello everyone!

This week on the podcast it’s Caroline de Maigret, the author of How to Be Parisian Wherever You Are, the model, the music producer – and the ultimate Parisienne, if you ask me.

I saw her walking down the street in central Paris and I stopped her to ask if she would like to be on my show. She said “Yes, let’s do it right now”.

So we recorded the episode on my phone in a cafe in the ninth arrondissement. That will explain the background noise, the waiter interrupting, the coffee machine somewhere in the distance… in other words, the ambient sounds of Paris.

Hopefully you’ll feel like you’re sitting right there with us.

Caroline talks about being a Parisian woman, the freedom of life in Paris, and how pleasure is a key element of life in the French capital. She also talks about how she loves Parisian cliches, the best roads to scoot down, and her favourite arrondissement.

Listen to the episode here and be sure to subscribe wherever you get your podcasts.

If you want to find more from Caroline, check out her Instagram page here. That’s her latest photo below – taken The Earful Tower recording studio. (Just kidding).

If you want to find more about The Earful Tower, here’s the website, here’s the Patreon link, and here’s my Instagram. Look, there’s me and Caroline in the cafe, me holding the mysterious lemon drink we discussed in the episode!

If you want to learn French with Camille’s method, find the French Today audiobooks here.

As for me, I’ll release another episode on Monday as usual with another interesting guest from the City of Love – thanks for listening!

  1. Congrats on this awesome podcast! I love how you randomly ran into Caroline de Maigret and she was so open to recording a podcast with you. That’s how I was when I randomly met my husband (who is French). Sometimes you just have to take a chance – you never know what’s going to happen. Anyway, I LOVE her book and can’t wait for the next one.

    1. Thanks Courtney. Would love to hear the story of how you met your husband one day – good for you!
