Perhaps you already know that I’ve just visited the very private Montmartre vineyard.
I even recorded the visit live on YouTube. You can watch the replay below, featuring magic, a parade of Petit Poulbot drummers, and an interview with the head of the vineyard.
But a heck of a lot of other things that also happened weren’t captured on camera, so I thought I’d share them here too.
First, here are a few pictures from the vineyard and the walk. I’ve added captions so you can click for more info. All of these were snapped by Montmartre photographer Ben Simpson.
The walk began at the Sacre Coeur Then featured some surprise drummer guests from Les P’tits Poulbots They paraded us down to the vineyard Once inside I took a tour of the whole vineyard Rather good view indeed! I interviewed the experts about the grape varieties .. and learned the nearly 100 year history of the vineyard And of course, I tasted the wine! The Montmartre backdrop made for some lovely photos! Laurence taught us all about local artist Francisque Poulbot too! Wine tasting Plenty of flowers in the vineyard too! Exploring Paris, one secret at a time Hope you enjoyed this glimpse inside the vineyard!
Also, today’s podcast episode is me talking about the walk, what it’s like to host Walk Shows, how everything can (and sometimes does) go wrong.
If you’re a Patreon member, click here for a far deeper dive into the work of Francisque Poulbot, loads of extra behind-the-scenes photos, and a chance to win a bottle of the Montmartre wine.
Lastly, may I ask you to subscribe to my YouTube channel? We’re approaching 10,000 subscribers. When we hit it, I’ll do a LIVE walk from one end of Paris to the other – via the banks of the Seine. Help me reach 10,000 here.
