Are you bored at home? Do you want something fun to do on Saturday? Do you like trivia and Paris?
If you’ve answered yes to any of those questions, then here’s something for you:
It’s The Great Paris Pub Quiz™ – free of charge as always.
That’s right, the same quiz that featured on France 24 news! Watch this from for an idea (starts at 3.15).
The international version
Here is the 8th … and maybe final… pub quiz, from May 9th. It ended with a thunderstorm. Thanks to all who’ve watched and taken part in these quizzes. The lockdown is now over, but we’re thinking how to keep this alive. Watch this space.
What is first prize?
First prize is an extremely limited edition of my new memoir, Paris On Air, featuring an original sketch by Lina and lots of tiny sketches throughout.

How does it work?
I have written trivia questions that I will ask during the live stream. You answer on paper, and I’ll read out the answers at the end of each segment. You tally your score each round. The winner is the person with the most points at the end of the game (and you’ll have to prove it by sending me a photo of your answers).
For those late to the idea, I’ve been doing these live pub quizzes each weekend since France went into lockdown. Last time: 191 viewers, 30 questions, one winner. The sections have five questions each, which get progressively harder.
The Two Golden Rules for live viewing
1) DO NOT write the answers in the comments thread. You’re spoiling it for everyone and you’ll go to Earful Tower jail. Every week we’ve had to send people to jail.
2) You’re only allowed a pen and paper. No Googling!
Oh and if you want a score card, print off this sheet provided by a listener. It’s pretty good (but you can just use a pen and paper, of course).

Still don’t get it? Well, here’s replay of some recent quizzes to get the gist. Good luck! More of the videos are here.
All in all, this is just a bit of fun. Let’s make the most of staying at home. But also, let’s see how well you know Paris and if you can beat your friends
Good luck and may the odds be ever in your favour.
Lastly, whether you’re going to watch live or not, please subscribe to my YouTube channel. Very easy link to do it here.
